Agile Workforce Management
Logica has published a major study looking at the challenges, performance and potential for improvement for mobile field work on physical assets across Europe. This is based on interviews with 292 Managers in utilities, telecoms and transport and associated service companies, undertaken by independent research company Coleman Parkes.
The key conclusion from the research is that two-way, real-time information on the location and status of assets, combined with the ability to dynamically schedule work in the field, could lead to significant improvements in field force productivity and increased customer satisfaction.
The potential cost savings could be as high as €2 million for a company with 500 workers and €5 billion for Europe as a whole.
The results of this research have been published in a report ‘Agile working: Unlocking productivity improvements for physical asset management in Europe’.
Logica is strong in the technologies and services – such as mobile communications, geospatial technology, work management and the management of asset information – that are needed in order to bring about the potential improvements identified through the research.
If you would like to find out more about the research, or how we can help you to improve your field force productivity, please contact Graham Hainsworth – Lead Consultant for the Water Sector at Logica.
