GIVP Programme 2011
Logica’s 2011 edition of the Global Innovation Venture Partner (GIVP) programme has come to a conclusion. Our global panel has chosen two joint winners this year- UK based Embarcadero Technologies and Sweden based Vergic AB. Embarcadero Technologies enables Windows desktop software to be turned into easily sharable mobile-like apps within the business environment. Vergic won the award for their “ps plugin’ solution, a sales and customer service tool.
The Embarcadero AppWave solution converts software into AppWave Apps that are broadcast, so you can access them from wherever you are. Users do not need to worry about installing software and have one-click access to the applications that they need. Vergic’s product “ps plugin” is a tool that brings e-commerce and customer service to the next level. It gives companies the ability to retain customers when they experience problems in the buying process and provide help during a session similar to a meeting in real life. “ps plugin” transforms any website into a real time interaction sales tool, enabling person to person communication, just like in a store.

- UK – Sophia (joint winner along with Embarcadero). The explosion of volumes of data along with the multiple types of data such as text, audio, video, means that search is an increasingly important aspect for any organisation or public safety body. We see Sophia Search as a great complementary technology to some of our own intellectual property that will enable us to take something game changing to the market.
- France – Proxem. Proxem helps organisations improve their performance in implementing the Semantic Web technologies and Language Processing. Consumers express both on the services or products provided on key events (legal, social ...) or on the image conveyed by a business (e-reputation). These feedbacks are sent directly by email or posted on blogs and forums on the web. Using techniques of semantic analysis and business intelligence, proxemics consolidates into a single vision. Proxemics therefore provides companies with a daily barometer, allowing for continuous improvement and anticipation of crises.
- Finland - ICT Standard Forum. ICT Standard for Management delivers a business aligned framework and practical tools for professional ICT management. ICT Standard Forum functions via a web community with users all over the world. The ICT Standard for Management is free to use with an open source principle.

In order to convey a message or to promote products and services and to stimulate online sales, Flavour can improve the online interaction with the customer with their concept - the use of games (gamification) -. The main idea is to create an online pull (of information) instead of the normal push communication. The creation/set up of online communities is key.
Logica announces the winners of the Global Innovation Venture Partner (GIVP)Programme 2011
Success in business today cannot be achieved in isolation: collaboration and co-innovation are key. And so, building the right synergies and ecosystems is really important.
The primary goal of the GIVP programme is to identify companies across the world with innovative products and solutions. So we can work with them to take them to the market, to together add value to our clients.
In other words, our GIVP Programme can help take creative solutions to new markets. You or an organisation that you nominate can benefit from our global reach and partnership. And we, from adding to our value proposition for our clients.
The GIVP programme event is held in two stages. In the first stage, short-listed companies from each country present their most innovative solution to the Logica panel.
