Emerald helps manufacturers like you track your carbon footprint. It is a web-hosted service that makes it possible to create a Carbon Label for a product, and report the carbon embodied in the product from all phases of its value chain- right from the procurement of raw materials to its manufacture, distribution and disposal.
This helps you manage your carbon emissions, energy and fuel optimisation and your operational costs. It also acts to provide invaluable information to consumers as they choose products that are produced in an environmentally friendly manner.
Can Emerald be used for tracking carbon footprints of the service industry?
Emerald can be used for all kinds of businesses and is not restricted to brick-and-mortar businesses. It can be used for any business for which Life Cycle studies have been done and the analysis can be configured in the system to arrive at carbon footprints.
Can Emerald track carbon emissions of items procured from vendors?

Will Emerald be able to cope with upcoming new standards?
Emerald is flexible in adding new calculation methodologies – this can be done without programming a new code. Thus any new standards can be roped in by just configuring new Life Cycle Studies.
